Wakesurf contest next up Nationals

Well we’ll finally post up the podium pictures of the NorCal INT League Wakesurf Contest held on the Mossdale Quarry lakes. THAT is an amazing venue and we are already working on future wakesurf contests for that site. It really is perfect for a wakesurf contest and like our friend Frank Wolter mentioned, you can have a skim contest off the beach onto the rollers from the boat breaking on the beach!

We are also heading to Florida for some family business and to attend the next wakesurf contest, the USA Wakeboard Nationals. We’re keeping our fingers that the weather holds, we are going to ride come rain or shine, but if there is lightning, they’ll be on electrical shock hold! We may be out of touch for a few days, but not to worry, we’ll bring you all the coverage and pictures from the wakesurf contest. Now this event will be the first US stop of the 2012 Centurion Wakesurf Tour, and as such is a qualifying stop to participate in the ’12 WWSC. It’s shaping up to be wild and wooly!

Ok, back to the Norcal INT League wakesurf contest. We had some of the best of the best riders at the event and there simply isn’t any other way to describe it, the Wake on the Supreme V226 is superior to many claimed “world class” wakes. Plus it’s so easy to load for that wake, throw in the water and 3 people and go! We also want to thank the rest of our sponsors, Flyboy Wakesurf (US!), Inland Surfer, Towanza.com, Cal Marine Sports, Wake Shredder Clothing, Calibrated Wakesurfing and Mike Armstrong who judged all day! OH! and the CWSA!  Without the help, direction and support of the Competitive Wake Surf Association this event wouldn’t have happened.

First up is the Women’s Amateur podium. Judy Walker in first and Cera Hinton in second.

The Men’s pro skim had some amazing riding, gumby shuv’s, 3 shuvs were common! First went to Sean Cummings and Second to Mike Kozacek

NorCal Contest 1976

The men’s pro surf was also a heated battle. Todd Johnson throwing down backside, Chris Wolter boosting and is perfect body varial and James Walker landing the back big twice in competition!

And that’s the wrap up folks! Thanks so much, there are a ton of videos on the facebook page or our youtube channel, you can watch all the riding there. Here is a short sample of James Walker nailing his big spin.

We’ll talk to you next from Florida!
