We had a great time at the NorCaL INT League Wakesurf contest event on Sunday and if you didn’t attend you missed a great venue and a great time, including PIZZA for lunch!
Everyone loved the wake on the Supreme V226 and were LANDING tricks right and left, some of the best riding we’ve seen to date. We asked everyone how they felt about the wake and NO COMPLAINTS! YES!
Orgnizers do their best to give the riders the best wake and environment possible, and certainly boat manufacturers want that…but not everyone will be happy. We won’t pull your leg with hype that some folks spew, we didn’t get a LOT of folks saying BEST WAKE EVER but we did get a few! We’re happy that folks got a good ride and enjoyed the wake.
On to the riding, our own James Walker landed two back bigs! Todd Johnson and his backside air reverse, Chris Wolter and the sickest body varial ever, Sean Cummings tricks were almost too varied to list and Mike Kozacek hit some of the craziest, highest shuvs you’ve ever seen on the goofy side. We have some quick rider photos and we’ll get to the podium pictures quickly. We also have short unedited videos of the pro divison riders that we’ll be posting. You’ll appreciate all of the tricks that were landed. We also want to give a huge shout out to all of the sponsors of the event: US – Flyboy Wakesurf! Inland Surfer, Supreme Boats, Calibrated Wakesurfing and Mike Armstrong for all of his judging!, CMS, Towanza, Sean Cummings for his mic skills and his donation of swag from Wake Shredder clothing, The Paytons from NorCal INT League, the Brown family for letting us use the most amazing wakesurf venue imaginable! and all the folks that came out to ride and participate! If you’ve been around wakesurfing in NorCal and you missed seeing things like Miles Armstrong who is now 6 years old you’ll be kicking yourself when you see the pictures! When did Miles turn 6!
