We are finally back from our trip to Florida and the USA Wake Surf Nationals. We haven’t even unpacked yet! We wanted to share a few pictures that John Lipscomb took at the event, he was the offical photographer at the event and covers most of the USA Waterski sanctioned events.
James Walker cross-entered into men’s pro surf style and also into men’s pro skim style. As we’ve mentioned before, the vast majority of wakesurf contests are ridiculously boring. You wait all day for your 2 minute run and then do it again the next day. So some contests allow for dual registration, both surf style and skim style or masters and amateur. It’s a way to allow more riding in the contest and more prizes!
This is one picture that John took and is what most folks are used to seeing, James Walker on his Flyboy Wakesurf board airing out surf style
AND here is James with a frontside grabbed shuv in the men’s pro skim style! James finished fourth just behind the greatest names in the skim division like Drew Danielo, Dominic Legace and Keenan Fleegel.
As soon as we catch up on some sleep and get ourselfs organized again, we’ll get back to some news, wakesurfing and wake surf board building posts! Thanks so much for following along.
